Can a Barbour Wax jacket be rewaxed?

Yes! Typically, every 12–18 months, depending on how often you wear it. If your jacket looks dry, faded, or isn’t repelling water as well, it’s time to rewax. You can do it at home with Barbour Thornproof Wax, or use their rewaxing service.

Can I wear my Barbour jacket in heavy rain?

For light to moderate rain, a Barbour wax jacket is ideal. For sustained downpours, a Barbour waterproof breathable jacket (with sealed seams) offers better protection. Waxed cotton is water-resistant but not fully waterproof in extreme conditions.

How do I care for my Barbour waxed jacket?

Barbour waxed jackets should not be machine washed or dry cleaned. Instead, sponge clean with cold water and re-wax annually to maintain water resistance.
